Virtual Reality; experiencing the imaginary in real-world

Virtual Reality is now influencing every field of science and industry like health care, the auto industry, and video games. It is an immersive technology and used especially in virtual reality games and 3d VR. It is the effective use of computer technology to create a simulated environment that can be similar to or completely different from the real-world experience. Augmented reality is another term of technology, and people are using it excessively. But this term is making the concept of these two different technologies a bit confusing. People do not understand the difference between augmented reality and virtual reality. VR is a computer-based artificial environment. It is produced by the software and presented to the user in a way that he blindly accepts it as reality. With the help of different senses of sight and sound, people can experience virtual reality (VR) on the computer.

What is Virtual Reality?

The technology of virtual reality is the experience of such a world that doesn’t exist in reality. It is not about getting oneself indulged into a novel or daydreaming about pictures and coloring. But all these activities involve some technology of VR. This immersive technology allows the user to experience an unreal world. Moreover, the user can interact and experience a 3D world that is imaginary. A computer works as a protector for this immersive technology of artificial intelligence.

The history of VR:

Introducing Virtual Reality and video games is a great success. Stereoscope fascinated people’s imaginations in the 19th century and invented the idea of involving ourselves in 3D environments. The actual VR experience took root in our minds, likely with science fiction as with most technological breakthroughs.

In 1935, scientists made a pair of glasses to use them in Weinbaum’s short story “Pygmalion Spectacles”. It was a chance for people to experience 3D virtual effects for the first time in history. Today, these glasses make you feel like you’re in the story, and are interacting with the objects. You speak with the shadows and the shadows reply. This VR experience makes you feel like the story is all about you, and you are in it.

Different types of VR games:

VR is progressing not only in industrial fields but also in the field of gaming. With the progress in technology, virtual reality games are present in both individual and multilevel medium. Some virtual reality games are based on VR, augmented reality and mixed reality. These video games are not just a means of entertainment. The player can feel himself in a physical warfare environment by playing such video games. Some virtual reality games create a challenging environment for the players. This environment helps the audience to play alone or with the team to move objects, explore areas and solve problems. Some of these games provide hostile environments such as auto racing and acrobatic flying.

Virtual reality; the eye-catching technology:

The confusion still exists in how virtual reality works. Different devices help us to experience the immersive technology of VR. A person can physically explore the VR by wearing a head-mounted display. Many types of input tracking devices are helpful to experience virtual reality. These devices will exhibit the view in a split way between your eyes. The Screens will create a stereoscopic three-dimensional effect along with the sound. This technology and input, tracking creates an unbelievable experience. It allows people to survey the virtual reality technology and experience something different.

3D VR; a new experience:

The technologies of virtual reality are, however, advancing day by day. With the quick advances in immersive technology, it is challenging to hold on to innovations. However, most people are aware of the standard VR system and some famous VR implementations. VR system has progressed so much that not only games are unbelievably awesome but also the technology is fantastic. Many people mix the concept of 360 videos with three-dimensional virtual realities. 3D VR is creating an image that is almost real. This 3D VR gives the player a chance to enjoy an environment near to reality. Different kits help us to use 3D VR. These kits support live preview and also the ability to directly share content. The 3D VR kits share content though broadcast applications like FB, YouTube 360 and Wire cast.

Augmented & virtual reality:

With emerging technology, the use of the terms augmented & virtual reality is excessive. But due to similar technology, these two terms are merged and are sometimes misused. They sound alike but have two different concepts. Virtual reality, as we know, is the experience of the unreal world as reality. It deals with our vision, whereas augmented reality gives advancement to it. Microsoft HoloLens and different enterprise-level “smart glasses” are AR devices. These glasses are transparent and let the people see everything. These glasses behave as weak pair of sunglasses

Moreover, the concept of this VR technology is extended and used in different smartphone games and VR apps. It is designed for completely free movement while projecting images over whatever we look at around us for example, in Pokémon Go, our phone camera is used to track the surroundings and then overlay additional information on the screen.

A different experience of Virtual Reality:

In most people’s minds, the recognition of VR technology stays on the stage when using VR glasses to view virtual space. VR has great potential and a bright future ahead. It is arguably the next footstep towards a modern/post-modern era of development. It acts as a medium of entertainment, business development, learning, and discovery. This time around, having a great VR experience will have come far enough to support the need for these VR systems to be implemented within homes, medical centers, and offices.

When it comes to augmented reality, VR is providing excellent opportunities to augment user’s experience even beyond measures. These devices and technology have risen enough to become an integral part of people’s life. Augmented reality has grown from a pipe dream to a visible reality within a short time. It can be rapidly integrated with daily life to improve quality, efficiency, and productivity of experiences on a universal scale.
